2026 so far

Retracing the year so far. What I must admit is that work now takes so much longer to complete.

Beautiful Days Devon 2026
Or maybe the other aspects of work take up more time. The travel, the organising, chasing, delegating.
Installation at Arthouse Jersey for Bloom with Alcindo Pinto

So much fun collaborating with old friends and turning some heads with weavings in public spaces and events.

It has been great to make new work and deepen partnerships.

Fantasy Forest, Sudeley Castle.  July 2026
If only some things could last a while longer the heat of summer almost saved this badger but alas no somehow it missed the ban on outdoor pyrotechnics.

Eisteddfod 2026 Aberteifi Llantood

There was  much excitement around Cardigan and every nook and cranny with the return of the National Eisreddfod to its birthplace. It was like a fever a happy  virus you just had to find a way to get involved and drag all and sundry into  it with you. We made a huge arch for the  pre show at Cardigan Castle based on the Arch at Strata Florida near Tregarron.
Plus a huge moustache representing the Lord Rhys the founder of the Eisteddfod. If you visit his stone tomb he is carved wearing a very fetching tash that I also used when making his willow doppleganger for Cilgerran Castle.
What a massive effort and truly amazing show was had.

Cymru got hot talent

The reweave of the three sculptures at Cilgerran Castle, William Marshal, Lord Rhys and Princess Nest.
I need to go back and take some closer photos. such a wonderful location and I really enjoyed going to work there. Thanks to Adrian for accomodating my tools and whips.

The beginning of the year was launched with the complete overhaul of Merlin for Bluestone Resorts. Nice to have a little peek at all the other things we have done but for this year we  were to not touch as time was just not on our side there was a full book of jobs to be done and the dome and tunnels will have to wait until 2027.
